Wanton Noodles Stalls in Johor Bahru

There are plenty of Wanton noodles stalls in Johor Bahru. These stalls are found mainly in coffee shops, food centers and also shopping malls. And many of these wanton noodles stalls have their loyal customers who swear that their version is the best. Some of my friends will go to either Pontain or Ho Seng Kee for their wanton noodles cravings. I have tasted both and though they are good, they are not my favorite.

Personally my favorite wanton noodles is located at Meldrum street which is about 10 minutes walk from the Johor Bahru Custom and Immigration. It is a small stall located in a very old coffee shop. I will always eat there whenever I am in Johor Bahru. Compared to Pontain and Ho Seng Kee, the prices are more reasonable too. Over a period of time, I have brought friends to try out this stall and the response have always been positive - good food.

If you are there in the morning, you have to be patient, as there are lots of customers and the tables are normally full. That is why I will go there in the late morning from 10.30 am onwards. The servings are smal for normal order;l but you can order the big bowl which is sufficient for breakfast or lunch.

New Bus Terminal at Johor Bahru Custom and Immigration - CIQ

I used to take bus from the Jalan Tun Razak bus stop which is directly opposite the City Square Mall. Now that the new bus terminal at Johor Bahru Custom and Immigration is operational, buses do not ply along Jalan Tun Razak road. I think this is a good move, as previously buses would simply parked along this road and causes traffic jams.

If you are going to KSL City Mall, then you can take the bus S1 from the JB Sentral bus terminal which is just below the Johor Bahru Immigration. There is a escalator on your left as you walked out of the immigration. Go down the escalator and you can see a small bus bay. Move towards the center of the bus bay and wait for the S1 bus to KSL City Mall. Below is a photo of the bus bay which was not crowded when I was there during the weekend afternoon. You can also take bus to many parts of Johor Bahru from here - such as Kota Tinggi and to Zon Regency Hotel.
